Description

The Tabula Rasa Knit Tee and Tunic have a relaxed fit with a natural shoulder line and square armhole.  The pattern provides two front bust options, a “U” and “V” neckline option, and 3 side options for customizing the fit and style.  The long swing side creates a graceful curved hemline for the Tunic; the straight and slightly flared sides create a hip height hemline for the Tee.  The shapes of the pattern pieces and easy construction method make this pattern perfect for mixing knit prints!  This is a multi-size pattern with sizes XS to 3XL.  Please refer to our size chart and fabric requirements chart on the back cover (below).

The detailed instruction book includes fitting information, design tips, information about choosing sewing, stabilizing, pressing and finishing knits with a serger or with a regular sewing machine.  Additional fitting help is available on our Knits Help page and in a downloadable fitting guide Fitting Adjustments for Tabula Rasa Knits.  The Tabula Rasa Knit Tee & Tunic is now available in both a print and digital version.  Please select format option at checkout.

  1. TC Ferrito

I made the tunic to wear on a trip. Simple to fit, simple to sew and looked fabulous. Since I knew what my TRJ alterations were already, I knew what size to pick. I needed no alterations beyond sleeve length. I love that the tunic version has the pointed sides but that they are no so dramatic as others. This is much more wearable- even to work- and I am planning more. If you tend to buy fabrics in the same color families, you will find plenty in your stash to mix together and “color block” the pattern. The sleeve style on this pattern makes this a really fast sew.

  2. Wendy Rice

I will have to say this was one of the most fun patterns I have made. The pieces all went together so nicely, and it fit. A double bonus. I am now attempting to color block it and make it longer. Sewing in the sleeve was so easy, it doesn’t make sense at first but it works great.

  3. Wendy Rice

I did make it longer, thanks to Rae’s help. No problems and I love it about 4 inches longer. Also did a bit of color blocking.

  4. Kat Martinez

Made the tunic during a class I took from Rae. FABULOUS experience! First shirt I’ve ever made, (and first three garments were leggings), and I am thrilled with the results. Rae knows a lot about fit and pattern adjustments, and is a patient and encouraging instructor.

  5. Fran

I love this top. So many cute variations. I’ve made 6 so far. It’s a fun pattern to play with. I have a forward, rounded shoulder. With a few adjustments on the body, the sleeve still slipped in easy. They gave great directions on the website for the adjustments.
