It’s a Spectacle

The body of this fun unlined  Rain or Shine Variation jacket was created with a group of heavy cotton fat quarters Rae received from her daughter as a gift. Rae purchased additional coordinating Echino yardage to complete the sleeves and hood. This jacket features the collar, detachable hood, exposed zipper and pleated back all found in the Rain or Shine Variations package for the Tabula Rasa Jacket.  It is the perfect spring/fall jacket in the Mid Atlantic; it even has a hood for a brief and unexpected shower or gusty winds.  You can read more about Rae’s design and construction process in these blog posts: Imagining a Spectacle Jacket, It’s a Spectacle Construction Tips, and Hood and Seams – the Final Spectacle.
