Rae crafted this light summer Tabula Rasa Jacket in cotton lawn from Farmhouse Fabrics. The fabric features a deep border of 3-dimensional flowers made from bias strips which she utilized all around the body of the jacket. She chose a narrow band of self fabric to keep the neckline open and cool, edged with the fuzzy fabric selvage, which was also repeated at the hemline. The summer sleeves are finished with a lantern cuff featuring more of the soutache border. Find the sleeve and cuff patterns in, what else, Sleeve & Cuff Variations for the Tabula Rasa Jacket. It’s such a warm weather favorite, Rae took the time to cover up an unwelcome spot, as described in the blog post Oops, Need to Cover a Spot?
