One of Rae’s old favorites and an early model for the swing side jacket. The fabrics in the front, back and sleeves are burn-out silks and the side panels and band are a reversible rayon brocade, all in teal and gold. Rae assembled the jacket with a serger rolled hem for all of the seams and for the hem, so there are no seam allowances to show through these sheer fabrics. This technique, which frames out the different fabrics nicely, is described in our pattern Swing Variations for the TRJ. Rae added a bead trim to the ends of the front band and each sleeve cuff to add a little weight. Luscious and fun to wear!
