Carrie fell for this cheery cherry-covered silk on a NYC shopping trip. It makes a very light and bright sheer jacket for summer events. The band and cuffs are a sparkly sheer teal poly blend and the sides are silk dupioni in another shade of teal,; the weight and relative stiffness of the dupioni keeps the jacket hanging straight. It was constructed with rolled edge seams on the outside of the jacket, a technique that is described in detail in the instruction book with Swing Variations for the Tabula Rasa Jacket. Carrie serged the seams with a variegated thread in white and shades of teal or turquoise in one of the loopers, which created a lovely frame for this jacket.
