Is a more successful garment sewing experience at the top of your New Year’s resolution list? We hope so! To help you achieve your goals, Fit for Art is offering its first on-demand virtual class. This class is all about making and fitting our signature pattern, the Tabula Rasa Jacket.
Rae Cumbie of Fit for Art taught a live, 4-week virtual Tabula Rasa Jacket Sew-Along with interactive lessons last March in conjunction with Sewbattical. The live class was a great success, generating very positive feedback. At the time, many of our customers expressed interest in an on-demand virtual class that would allow them to watch each lesson on their own schedule.
That live video class is now transformed into an on-demand format with the help of our colleague Carla at Sewbattical. You will have unlimited access to the video lessons on your own schedule and at your own pace. Because it’s not live, there is no start or end date for access to the videos and other resources. We have chosen a fabulous host site, Thinkific, to ensure a great learning experience for you. The virtual class includes 17 lessons that move you step-by-step through the process of planning, fitting, cutting, sewing and finishing a Tabula Rasa Jacket mock-up and your first Tabula Rasa Jacket. In addition to the video lessons, there are links to blog posts, downloadable documents, and other resources that will ensure a successful sewing experience.
Last but not least, the class includes access to a discussion forum in which you can chat with other students, share your finished garments, and ask questions of Rae and Carrie!
