Vines on a Fence

Vines on a Fence

Here’s an early sample of the Tabula Rasa Knit Tunic made in a pretty rayon knit from France.   The floral pattern superimposed on top of the black and white stripe really stands out!  Carrie used the stripes vertically, except in the cuff and neck band that are cut on the bias.  The cuff on this top was adapted from the bell cuff in Sleeve & Cuff Variations for the Tabula Rasa Jacket, but you could get a very similar look using the new flared cuff in Wide Neckline Variations for Tabula Rasa Knits.  The hems of body and cuff are finished with a simple rolled hem edge, which works great with a single layer of a knit fabric.  If adapting a pattern from Fit for Art’s TRJ patterns for wovens, just remember you’ll have to make some adjustments to allow the knit and woven pieces to fit together.
