This beautiful quilted jacket is made with hand-dyed cottons from Cherrywood Fabrics. We assembled their “Cherry Roll” strips to make a large piece of fabric from which we cut the fronts and back. Some portions of the pieced strips were also used to cut out the leaves and vines which are appliqued to the front, back and sides of the jacket and to create the turnback cuffs; red and purple scraps were used to create the berries as self-made buttons. The sleeves, band and sides were cut from “solid” pieces of Cherrywood fabric. Consult our Tips for Quilted Jackets for useful information on making any quilted jacket with the Tabula Rasa Jacket pattern.
The jacket is a lovely work of art.
