SewBatik rayon sews up beautifully into a soft and drapey blouse! The front is a jewel neck, from Rain or Shine Variations for the Tabula Rasa Jacket, slightly rounded off at the center front corners to make it easier to apply the bias binding that defines all of the borders of this top. Carrie added a modesty panel behind the buttons and loops; modesty panel directions are included with the Rain or Shine pattern. The experimental two-piece tie sleeves, which are also finished with self-made bias binding, have since been incorporated as a new pattern with V Neckline Variations for the Carpe Diem Dress & Tunic; the sleeve length and ties are scaled down slightly to suit the Carpe Diem pattern.
