Sashed Blouse for Sarah

Sarah's sashed blouse

Rae  made this blousy version of the Tabula Rasa Jacket for her daughter Sarah. They had purchased the silk twill and matching ribbons in  New York City with the goal  of making a skirt, but the blouse seemed more fun once the serious design work got started.  The top is made  with the Tabula Rasa Jacket pattern and has a faux shawl collar from the Band Variations downloadable pattern and the Summer Sleeves, lengthened with Lantern Cuffs found in the Sleeve and Cuff downloadable pattern.  The collar and the cuffs were piped with the piquot ribbon as trim.  The drapey fabric had to be supported in the cuffs and collar with Envy Silk Interfacing.  The final flourish is the sashed belt.  Download the belt pattern and directions for free.  They were a holiday gift several  years ago and we hope you enjoy them.
