This wool jacket is very suitable for wearing to work. Carrie made this with just 2 fabrics, a wool plaid and textured brown wool, and lined it with silk charmeuse. In order to get a more fitted look, she added a seam down the center back, curving that seam and all four side seams in about 1/8″ between the middle and lower HBLs. Carrie added a very special Liberty of London bias trim that Rae had picked up on a trip to La Droguerie in Paris to accent the band cuffs and to make loops for the metal buttons. She also used the selvage from the plaid wool as trim along the front band, so the band was cut in two pieces and selvage inserted into the seam. This method is described in Band Variations & Pockets for the Tabula Rasa Jacket.
