This Front Band Style Opus jacket features a patchwork of 5″ fabric squares cut from the author’s stash, but could easily be replicated with a coordinating designer collection of fabrics or pre-cut squares, often sold as “Charm Packs”. Fronts, back and sleeves are all cut from prepared patchwork sections and the side panels are cut from a single piece of fabric (one that was included in the patchwork design). The jacket is lined with a cotton print and the center front is finished with a narrow (1″ wide) band, button loops and buttons. The sleeves are also finished with a narrow binding and can be turned back as cuffs, showing the print lining.
