Edye’s sheer jacket in Fall colors was planned around a vintage silk handkerchief which is featured on the back of the jacket. She found sheers in coordinating colors to fill out the fronts, sleeves, band and cuffs and sewed it all together with serger rolled edges on the exterior of the jacket. Techniques for working with sheers and for sewing serger rolled edges are discussed in our pattern Swing Variations for the Tabula Rasa Jacket. (For this jacket, Edye chose to use her basic TRJ side rather than the long swing side.) Edye gets compliments every time she wears it!
