Carrie made this Carpe Diem Tunic from 3 cotton fabrics she had purchased years ago at a quilt store in Santa Fe. The primary fabric is a very textured Japanese cotton, often described as Dobby Weave, featuring floral wreaths on a plum ground. Three cotton batiks blending all of the same colors were used for the yoke, sleeves, facings, and piping. Check out the “kangaroo” style pocket hidden on the right side panel! It closes with an invisible zipper at center back.
