In a Japanese Garden Quilted Jacket

There is something so  calming about scenes from an Asian Garden and this Tabula Rasa Jacket captures several small scenes isolated from a large cotton quilting panel. For several years Rae collected fabrics to complement the panel before piecing and constructing the jacket using the sashing technique which makes it easy to place favorite motifs in central locations on the jacket.  Even the side panels and sleeves have a sashing line incorporated in the design.  The Stand Collar from the Shirt Variations made this a very interesting spin on the quilted Tabula Rasa Jacket.
