Carrie finally got in on the act, making herself a modified Shirt Variation with the open collar featured in Summer Shirt with an Open Collar. This sample is made in a pretty floral flannel mixed with silk ikat for the facings, collar and cuffs to elevate it to a holiday party top. The back is split into an upper yoke and lower back with center pleat, like several other open collar samples, based on directions in Rain or Shine Variations. The sleeves are faced with silk ikat and cinched in with a button and pleat, creating a more dramatic cuff to complement the dramatic open collar.
