An unlined jacket made from quilting cottons makes a great lightweight jacket for spring. Carrie was playing with four coordinating fabrics readily available at JoAnn’s Fabrics and local quilting stores. The primary fabric with the birds was used for the body, secondary background for the sleeves, a third abstract floral for the lantern cuffs, band and piping, and a fourth polka dot became a darker accent for back yoke and side panels. This jacket features the lantern cuffs from Sleeves & Cuff Variations and a 1″ wide pleated edge from Band Variations and Pockets for the Tabula Rasa Jacket. The closure is a single purchased frog.
Such lovely fabric!…looks great with the coordinating and contrasting fabric choices!
Thanks Carrie! I was very happy with the way this group of fabrics came together, too. You might be interested to know that all of the fabrics but one came from JoAnne’s and the other a quilt shop.
