Carrie and Rae, in the midst of the holiday crazies, marked the date in mid-December 2010 when we signed our letters of incorporation for Tabula Rasa Patterns LLC and filed in the state of Maryland. And so it is that all this year Fit for Art will celebrate 15 years in business!

Always On the Move
2011 was a very eventful year! We finished and printed our first pattern, the TRJ, and our two Tips Books. We made our first road trip to be a vendor at our first Expo in November of 2011 in Novi, MI. While there, we did our first Trunk Show, A Years Worth of Jackets from One Pattern. It was so well received that after each day’s show we had a line of gals outside our booth anxious to get a sizing and purchase the pattern. Of course we had sewn our first set of mock-ups for the Tabula Rasa Jacket Pattern, too, to introduce our focus on fit.
Always Focused on Fit
From the beginning we were all about fit, and the concept of having mock-ups that could be tried on at sewing events was part of the master plan. Our fitting Rx-prescription pad was printed and ready and we came home excited. Since then we have polished up the fitting pads, made one for pants as well as mock ups, and evolved into a busy operation helping gals sew their wardrobes successfully.
