Rae had fun combining several colorful elements in this brightly colored and pieced jacket. She had acquired the fabrics with the playing children and floral motifs from June Colburn and the blue silk kimono pieces from Laura Murray, both friends, artists and fellow vendors at many of the sewing shows and expos. She pieced them together framing sections of the featured fabrics with silk solids using colors from the feature pieces. The large buttons are carved white shell.
