Our bundle of Indian cotton Ikat with several shades of blue and green (with black and light undertones) makes up into a terrific jacket. Carrie constructed all of the seams on the exterior of the jacket with a serger-rolled edge, so there are no seam allowances. She added some semi-solid cotton from Cherrywood Fabrics for the front band and side pieces; they were part of a 4-shade Teal group. The sleeves are 3/4 length and have a simple band cuff cut on the selvage of one of the ikats. Serendipitously, she found the perfect sculpey button in her stash, purchased years ago at a craft show! The cotton ikat softens as you wash it, making this very comfortable to wear.
