Tabula Rasa Jacket Workshop

Join Rae Cumbie and Carrie Emerson of Fit for Art Patterns for a 2-day Tabula Rasa Jacket Workshop on June 7 & June 21, 2025 at Spring Water Designs in Columbia MD. Register for both days on the Spring Water Designs website by clicking on the blue button below.

Spend two action packed days learning how to fit and fashion a fun wardrobe of toppers using the Tabula Rasa Jacket pattern from Fit for Art Patterns. On day one, Rae and Carrie will help you identify the correct jacket size using sizing shells, adjust your pattern with your personal fit adjustments, cut, mark, and sew your mock-up. The first session will close with a look at possible fabrics students brought for a wearable mock-up. On day two, students will begin designing and making their own wearable jacket, see and learn about supports and finishes that will make your jackets beautiful and functional for years. Finally, instructors will touch on the wide range of possibilities for future mixed fiber jackets, quilted jackets, drapey tops and shirts.
