Knit Fabric Bundles

Description

Sew yourself a beautiful knit top from one of these knit fabric bundles!  Each bundle includes a floral knit print plus a smaller piece of a coordinating solid knit fabric for contrasting sides, binding, cuffs, trim, or where ever your imagination leads.  Each fabric is 56-60″ wide and is a blend of either viscose or cotton and elastene (a/k/a spandex).  Pre-washing strongly recommended due to shrinkage.  Please select the print/color combination and quantity you prefer for fabric image and specific fabric content and yardage.

There are 3 color combinations to choose from.  The navy print has a watercolor or batik feel while the other two prints are crisp.

• The lightest bundle’s print is on a grey/taupe background with floral motifs in ivory, darker gray, blue green and olive and is paired with an ivory solid (we see it as “champagne”, the supplier named it “moonlight”).
• The brightest bundle’s print is on a reddish/orange background (we are calling it “papaya”) with floral motifs in ivory, dark gray, and orange and is paired with a dark gray solid.
• The darkest bundle’s print is on a navy background with floral motifs in a variety of blues and is paired with a periwinkle solid.

Bundles are available in choice of three yardage quantities to minimize waste:  1.5 yard (1 yd print + .5 yd solid) or 2.25 yards (1.5 yd print + .75 yd solid) or 3 yards (2 yd print + 1 yd solid).  Choose quantity based on requirements of the size to be made and the style of knit top or other garment you are planning.  The 1.5 yard bundle is enough for an XS-M knit top with short or possibly 3/4 length sleeves or a cropped sleeveless top in most sizes.  Longer tunics, full-length sleeves, and larger sizes will require a larger bundle.  If possible, use your pattern pieces to determine yardage required.

There are two samples shown here, with more photos coming soon.  One Tabula Rasa Knit tee in the papaya print has a V-neckline accented with dark grey binding down the center front and center back. The other top features a Wide Neckline Variation with angled collars and elasticized cuffs in the gray print.  (Rae used the dark gray and mallard green solids with it, which we found to be too strong, so have paired it with the champagne solid in the bundles.)  Visit our Photo Gallery to be inspired by additional knit top samples, many of which were created from bundles like these.
