Nifty Tabula Rasa Knit Tops Retreat

Join Fit for Art Patterns, SewBatik and Original Sewing & Quilt Expo for a weekend of zoom sewing. Our 2-day retreat will begin Saturday morning and wrap up with show and tell late Sunday afternoon. Both Carrie and Rae will be on hand each day to help you fashion a core Tabula Rasa Knit Tee or Tunic in beautiful SewBatik cotton jersey. The required kit is offered in several configurations and color ways, with needed interfacing and an option that includes the pattern if you don’t already own it. A wonderful swag bag will contain needles, threads, and some fun make ahead recipes to keep you nourished while we sew together. If you have already made some Tabula Rasa Knits, you can use your fabric kit to make a Patchwork front Tee or a Tailored Cardigan and Tank Top with our Twin Set variations that work so well with this fabric. Throughout the weekend we will be demonstrating cutting, stitching, finishing ideas and more to improve for your knit sewing. As a bonus, SewBatik will join us for lunch one day. We will close out the weekend learning a few knit embellishment techniques to add fanciful accents to your new top or a scrap happy scarf.
