As we close out 2016 we wish you a happy holiday and a healthy and prosperous 2017.

We celebrate your support of Fit for Art Patterns with this year in review:

March – Model Rhonda appears with Rae in our first OSQE Fashion show in Lakeland FL.
April – Our first professional photo shoot, here photographing the inside of the back to fill in the neck of the It’s a Spectacle Jacket.
May – Provided our first in-store Trunk Show followed by a jacket class at Lilies of the Field Bernina Shop in Easton MD. Do you know a shop that might host a trunk show?
June – Rae finished writing the Fit Finder series for Sew News Magazine and developed a Webinar on Curvy Girl Sewing for their sister company Sew Daily.
Rayon Fireworks Shirt
July – Launched the Rain or Shine Variations for the Tabula Rasa Jacket at the ASG National conference.
August – Held our first Sew! Let’s Get Dressed retreat in Baltimore. Here Rae does a fitting for Priscilla and her ponte knit pants.  Join us for our Knit Workshop in January!
September – Graduated 4 new Eureka! Pants Professionals at our Pants Licensing Seminar.
October – Carrie finished her French Jacket and wore it at the ASDP national conference in Vancouver BC. Fit for Art Patterns was a proud sponsor.
November – Began work on a new Pants Details Pattern and a new Knit Variation which will be presented in 2017.
December – Hosted June Colburn for a program for the Baltimore ASDP on Japanese Textile Traditions that included trips to two museum exhibits.

Also, a special word of thanks to those who invited us to present trunk shows and classes:

Grand Rapids ASG, Central PA ASG, Buffalo NY ASG, Capital Quilts in Gaithersburg MD, Needle and Thread in Gettysburg PA, and Lilies of the Field in Easton MD.

These Central PA ASG members worked on pants one weekend and everyone had a fine mock up and adjusted pattern by the time they went home.
Memories of Buffalo NY with their ASG Chapter in September!
Our friend Nancy at the Grand Rapids ASG Jacket Class in April.

We hope our travels take us to a city where we can catch up with you in 2017! We wish you great enjoyment sewing your modern wardrobe of fun separates with our jacket, knit and pants patterns this year.

All our best, Rae and Carrie

  1. I just finished typing my comments on the class and I lost all of it. The class was very fulfilling for me. I liked that you let us work at our own pace but you were there to help and answer questions. I was thrilled to come home with a completed top and I can’t wait to continue on the top that I brought home.

Carrie, it was good to meet you; and as always Rae, I enjoyed your teaching style. You and Carrie are a wealth of information and although I took a little too long with all of the fabric I brought with me I was glad that you assessed each piece for me.

    Thank you!

    1. Glenda, we were honored that you joined us, glad you had a successful experience. RAE
